Being able to publish to your Aussie Blogs site allows you to post on the go. Great for when you’ve got a story to share or a bit of spare time waiting for someone. In this post, we’ll show you how to set up your Aussie Blogs Account for remote publishing.
Step 1. Enable XML-RPC Services on your blog
On the grey navigational bar at the top of the screen go to [My Blogs] [Your Blog] [Dashboard]
From your Dashboard, on the left hand side (in advanced mode) expand settings and then choose writing.
From the Writing Settings Screen check the box which says Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols.
Step 2. Download the WordPress Application to your Iphone
If you are already familiar with using an Iphone, this step should be quite easy.
- On your Iphone go to the App Store
- Search for WordPress
- Download and Install the WordPress Application
Step 3. Set up your Iphone to connect to your Aussie Blogs Site
(a) Choose Add Self Hosted WordPress Blog
(b) Enter your website URL – see picture below. You will also need to enter your username and password which you received when you joined Aussie Blogs. This is NOT your facebook username and password.
(c) If you see the following screen either you have typed in your website’s address incorrectly or you haven’t enabled XML-RPC on your blog.
Well there you have it. The simple way to add your Aussie Blogs Blog to your Iphone.
Now you have no excuse to not keep your readers updated when you have a spare minute or two.
